It is a combination of spicy Chole (chickpeas) and fried bread made out of flour. Chole bhature is a super delicious main dish that INDIANS love to eat in their breakfast. It is a perfect blend of spices, If you love to eat spicy food then this dish is a must-try for you. You can make this dish on any occasions or small gatherings. It can be easily prepared at home. However, one cannot fully change the recipe but one can innovate according to there choice. Prepare this mouth-watering dish for your family and friends and they would relish it to the fullest. I would like to share my recipe for making this dish which turns out to be great every time I make it.

•BAY LEAF(Tej Patta)
•2 BLACK CARDAMOM
•2 CARDAMOM(Elaichi)
•2-3 CLOVES(Long)
•TURMERIC POWDER
•MANGO POWDER(Amchur)
•CORIANDER POWDER
•RED CHILLI POWDER
•3 RED CHILLIES
•GARAM MASALA
•BLACK PEPPER
•CHANNA MASALA
•JEERA POWDER
•OIL
•WATER

FOR BHATURA:-

•2 CUP FLOUR(Maida)
•2 tsp YOGHURT
•2 tbsp SUJI(Semolina)
•WATER
•PINCH OF SALT
•1/4 tsp BAKING POWDER
•1/4 tsp BAKING SODA

METHOD:-

FOR CHOLE(chickpeas)

Add the overnight soaked chole in a pressure cooker, to the chole add a bay leaf(tej parts), black cardamom, amla, one teabag, and salt to taste. When the Chole is boiled, take a pan to add some oil and let it heat at a medium flame when the oil is warmed add some cumin seeds along with cinnamon stick, Cardamom, cloves, ginger garlic paste and stir it. Then add the onion puree and blend it for some time till the onion gets cooked, (they give a really good flavour to the recipe), then add the tomato puree and cook it for about a minute or two. Then add all the Spices mentioned and some coriander leaves and cook it very well for about 3 minutes. (Remember one thing the secret to a good chole is the spices so cook the spices very well.)Now add the boiled chole to the mix and blend it then add some water to dilute the chole. Simmer it for some time so that the chole mingles with the spices and captures the flavours. Once the chole is ready it will look very delicious to eat.

FOR BHATURA

Take a small bowl to add all-purpose flour, suji and all the other items mentioned above, then add some water and make a soft dough. Give the dough a very nice knead with water and make it soft. Then cover it with a cloth and keep it for rest for about 2 hours. After 2 hours take a pan add some oil and heat it at a high flame. The oil should be smoking hot otherwise the bhatura will not puff up. Roll down the bhaturas with the rolling pin and fry it at a high flame. Flip it gently when it's red from the other side.

Your lip-smacking chole bhature is now ready. Garnish the chole with coriander leaves and serve it with some onions and your favourite pickle
